This week, I received two $10 off coupons in the mail to the JC Penny's new store in Overland Park. I headed there yesterday with my coupons knowing it would probably be one of my last opportunities to splurge on shopping for awhile. I browsed beautiful rows of shoes, smelled heavenly scented candles, considered a funky pair of sunglasses and new lipstick shades… but do you know what I ended up spending it on…

Two waterproof mattress pad covers for the crib... I am obviously getting waaaaaaay too practical these days! I didn't even know what a waterproof mattress pad was 6 months ago...
Oh the times, they are a-changing. (sigh)
